New ideas always have huge opportunity and potential. Here are my suggestions after five minutes of play:

* Right-Click menu to Clear "Selected" thumbs or ALL.
* Properties-All, hide time stamp and/or website address
* Create tags or categories - for sorting, viewing, deleting, searching
* Create stacks or tabs to view like tags/categories
* Option to load thumbs in addition to current instead of replace
* Magnify Thumbnail while mouse hover
* Hide the Configure/Search bar. Make available in Right-Click on empty space.
* Option to record and limit one thumb per website for current session
* Load last session automatically
* Option to Automatically save each session on exit - date/time stamp.
* Save last session or auto-save session with defined name.
* Delete or Clear all auto-saved or last session.

That is enough for now!

I really like this idea! I think you should make it so if you drag your mouse over the site in the strip it shows you an enlarged version of the picture. That way you can be sure you are clicking on the site you want. I would also make the black area above the strip look more finished. The whole strip could use a bit of body work. Great product!

How about an option that will minimize Thumbstrips when you click on a page?

Great add-on.

Alvin - I would suggest removing thumbstrips thgouth the tools->add ons menu in firefox. Then reinstall from scratch. Let us know if that does not work.

Jay - you can get prior versions here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addons/versions/5045 but it is only the latest version that is compatible with Firefox 3. We have your suggestion for a customizable color scheme.

Aaron - thanks for the testing offer. We will keep you in mind. I will find out if we can read the SQLLite database.

Jay - great detailed bug description. We will look at that.

All - we have attempted to make ThumbStrips as a side/verticle bar but it requires more code than we can handle right now.

Thanks for the suggestions on keeping history across multiple tabs, having more useful titles on the thumbnails, scroll bar speed.

Thanks again,
Jonathan

macuache - we have worked hard to improve the performance of ThumbStrips, but depending on your specific computer setup it can slow down the performance. Some suggestions I have are:

1. Check out Firefox3 if you haven't yet. They have made some major improvements in there latest version on memory management.

2. Go to Configure -> Options -> More -> and change how often snapshots are taken to "less frequently"

As for the storage of the data: check out this post http://intuitlabs.com/thumbstrips/2008/05/oh-where-oh-where-has-my-thumbstrip-gone/ which lists all location of the the ThumbStrip directory for different operating systems.

Again, I am sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

Hello All - sorry it has been a while, usually we try to get in touch each week. We are actually working on a better way to implement customer service here:
http://getsatisfaction.com/thumbstrips/products/thumbstrips_thumbstrips

We will be putting up FAQs and this will allow us to consolidate the questions, bugs, and suggestions in one place.
