Quickbooks for Blackberry

Will you make an addition for Blackberry users, or something to send invoices with?

qboe on iphone

Hi Gene, have you tried this on IE? The demo link doesn't work great in firefox.

Let me know if that helps!

Kristen (Product manager)

qboe on iphone

I like this app but I would also like to be able to enter checks and expense in the bank register.

qboe on iphone

I recently purchased Quickbooks online plus and am planning on taking advantage of creating estimates on my iphone. I know how to create invoices, but don't see an option anywhere for creating estimates.

Can someone shine some light on this for me?

thanks in advance

qboe on iphone

still no "demo" link on that page!!

qboe on iphone

Maybe you should tell us what you want to demo, and what page you're referring to. Otherwise I don't think anyone has an idea what you're talking about.

qboe on iphone

Im sorry about that... You are right P... the demo is no longer there at https://accounting.quickbooks.com/m . I will find out what happened to it and let you know.

qboe on iphone

I'd like to see a demo of the "Quickbooks online iPhone app" ...
the page in question is above: https://accounting.quickbooks.com/m
"Select the Try demo link to open a sample company."

qboe on iphone

I would think that an iPhone for TimeTracker would be a home run for as many industry people I know that use this service out in the field. I would prefer that when it is developed, that the user would be capable of logging into and summiting time into the Timetracking web process directly snd not have to save it as a file to import into Quickbooks (thinking about the possible outage of your phone and lose of data).

qboe on iphone

Until Intuit develops such an application, there's always QuickTimer, an iPhone app that can export files as QuickBooks timer IIF data for importing into QuickBooks.

qboe on iphone

I too am also looking for Quickbooks 2010 and Quickbooks POS iPhone integration.

My company has a warehouse which we use the POS at. The employees typically remove item from the inventory to distribute while in the field. It would be great to allow them to access the same inventory that is on the POS at the warheouse and to "sell" that item and have it removed from the inventory in real time or to at least have it do so when plugged in to the computer and synced or on the same wifi...

Quick invoicing would also have to be an option where the transaction is made and e-mails are sent on the fly. The program wold be be supported as a feature rich supppliment to quickbooks and POS. Mainly, the user can always go back to the POS and modify the transactions including invoices tc.

The ability to scan barcodes (take photo of code) instead of flicking or doing a traditional search through inventory wold be excellent as well.

This has SO much potential I'm surprised it's not released yet.

qboe on iphone

Is it true you can use your Iphones camera as a scanner to scan invoices? This is only available is the US right?

qboe on iphone

Droid!!? What about us, get us something please.

How about integration with Quickbooks POS in addition to quickbooks?

qboe on iphone

I don not see the try demo company link at the web address given.

qboe on iphone

Can you make this app for the palm pre please? that would be great!!! as an accountant i could use this kind of app all the time!!

qboe on iphone

I think there is a Iphone app that turns the phone into a scanner. You will need to search for it though.

qboe on iphone

I am hand writing invoices when I am on the road and
the items I sell are all barcoded. So is there anyway way to scan the barcode into the iphone quickbooks app? I would love to scan and email or fax the invoice without having to type every item in.
Thanks for your time
Martin

qboe on iphone

I agree with Andrew. How may times have you lost receipts!? The mobile space is going to be big so its great to have this app. Is there another windows based smart phone app other than Iphone?

qboe on iphone

Hey what about us Droid users???

Can't wait.

qboe on iphone

I can't believe you have not developed an interface to QB Pro. We use QB Pro 2009 and will never use QuickBooks online. We need the ability to create and synch invoices in the field on our iPhones. Are you working on any mobile synching to Pro?

qboe on iphone

I SSSOOO agree with this! We use premiere 2009 and this is our second(bought first in 2007) would be great if they would make online services for us to use with our software; where we can access anywhere as well!! we have spent just as much on our software as the online pricing comes out to!!!

qboe on iphone

your link for the demo does not work! there is no demo selection button

qboe on iphone

Time tracking would be nice. Or, some type of time tracking for the mac. A widget would be great. Something to keep me logged in so I can just add my time as I go.

qboe on iphone

Well there's QuickTimer for the iPhone, a time-tracking app that exports QuickBooks Timer IIF files. There's also TimeSlice for the Mac that can also export QuickBooks Timer IIF files. Does that help?

qboe on iphone

And that format can be imported to QuickBooks Online?

qboe on iphone

I'm not real familiar with QuickBooks online, but my guess is no, it can't, but I don't know for sure. You'd probably have to import the data into QuickBooks for Windows (QB Mac cannot import timer IIF files yet), and then sync QB Windows with QB Online, or something like that.

qboe on iphone

I am an avid user of Quick Books Pro. I would love to be able to view and sync my customer databases to my iPhone. Any chance it will happen?

qboe on iphone

I checked the QuickTimer documentation and did not see instructions on how to import data into the Quickbooks online version. Is that accomplished by the program automatically? If not, what is the procedure?

qboe on iphone

QuickTimer is an iPhone time-tracking app. QuickTimer does not work with QuickBooks online. Instead it can export QuickBook timer IIF files, which can be imported into QuickBooks on your desktop computer. It is the least expensive iPhone app that allows this. Search iTunes for QuickBooks or QuickTimer.

qboe on iphone

Wish I could view my bank register....that would be awesome

qboe on iphone

Any plans to integrate the Iphone app with desktop software? for me tracking hours and expenses as well as givig estimates and invoices from my phone would be awesome.. although trying to surf the web constantly and connect to do this online all the time would be a hassle. just syncing with the desktop version would be amazing...

qboe on iphone

This does not appear to work for folks who just have access to logging in their time (which is a huge hurdle for our folks on the road). Is this meant for only those with advanced rights within the QB system?

qboe on iphone

Lisa,
Is your question directed at me or someone else? When you say "this does not..." what is "this" referring to?
Thanks.

qboe on iphone

Is there an app for QuickBooks desktop?

qboe on iphone

We are a small company that does estimates on site and want to know if the iPhone Quickbooks application allows the input and printing of estimates from the application.

qboe on iphone

We submitted QuickTimer to Apple on November 23. It's never known how long it takes Apple to release a product, but we're hoping this week. Thanks for your interest.

qboe on iphone

QuickTimer is now available from iTunes here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/quicktimer/id340875627?mt=8

qboe on iphone

What's the rough timeline for the iPhone Time tracking that can export an IIF (sans QB Online)?

qboe on iphone

Apple does not allow access to iCal data on the iPhone. Otherwise it's a good idea.

qboe on iphone

How about an app that takes ical data from an iphone and inserts them into the time tracker in QB?

qboe on iphone

What would be great is if the Time Tracker application could be an iPhone app. I find that there are times that I would like to write out my time and not in need of my laptop as a mobile consultant, but I am always on my iPhone.

qboe on iphone

As I mentioned in my previous post, we will be publishing an iPhone (not laptop) time tracking application that can export IIF files.

qboe on iphone

Very soon, probably before the end of this month, we will be publishing QuickTimer, a simple time-tracking application for the iPhone that can export IIF files for importing into QuickBooks. Visit http://quicktimer.us/ for more information.

qboe on iphone

Would like to view and edit existing invoice or estimate.

Thanks Terry

qboe on iphone

Agree with above to use Mac and an actual app on the iPhone not going to web to the webbased qb

Presently Using notes and emailing to myself to place on Mac OS X QB

qboe on iphone

I think most importantly for myself is time tracking that will upload to my computer. it should be an app not an online program.

qboe on iphone

Would love an application (iPhone app) that syncs with my desk top quickbook account (specific one to be determined) !

qboe on iphone

My husband and I own a small company. I currently use quickbooks to manage our accounts. If I add the Iphone app for quickbooks, will my pc quickbooks and Iphone quickbooks update eachother and be able to share information?
Thanks

qboe on iphone

jUST GOT THE QBO FOR MY IPHONE. IT IS PRETTY GREAT! ANY CHANCE YOU COULD ADD A FUNCTION TO ENTER TIME ON THERE- THAT WOULD ROCK

qboe on iphone

Just wanted to add that the website pulls up fine in Palm Pre's browser too...

I wish I could att time entries from the web.

qboe on iphone

Will QuickBooks Online on the iPhone, work with the Australian Version of QuickBooks.
We have a service company and it would be handy to be able to Invoice on the go, also would be great to do Quotes and email them on the go.

qboe on iphone

WE USE QB PRO 2009 ON OUR PC. I WOULD LIKE TO SYNC IT AT THE OFFICE AND BE ABLE TO VIEW CUST & COMPANY INFO WHILE ON THE ROAD WITH MY I PHONE HOW CAN I DO THAT ?? THANKS DICK RHODES

qboe on iphone

Any chance of having an option for a signiture on the invoice and the online version store that signiture. This would solve a huge problem for me.

Thanks,
John A Gaberino
Topeca Coffee

qboe on iphone

I, too, would love to be able to invoice from my mobile from Quickbooks and email to my clients...Would save me time!

qboe on iphone

When will I be able to from the iphone interface use the time tracking feature?

qboe on iphone

IS AN APP FOR IPHONE THAT I CAN SYNC QUICKBOOKS PRO 09 FROM MY PC TO MY IPHONE ????

qboe on iphone

Are there any plans to have a stand alone app for the iPhone?

qboe on iphone

I have heard through the grapevine that QB is awaiting the release of Snow Leopard to roll out a total revision of new QB apps which I'm told are fabulous! Is this true please let us know as September is approaching and the frustration of building more data on the PC is only going to compound the task of switching over to the Mac. Point blank! Is this rumor true?
THanks,
Peter

qboe on iphone

As a Mac user, I have an iPhone and a Mac. Sadly I cannot use the online Quickbooks since overall cost of ownership would be horrendous (virtual machine, windows licensing, increase hardware, support, etc...).

If you can make your online product accessible to me it might be a consideration.

If you can do that AND have your iPhone app replace (and simplify) my other three finance apps that currently take images of receipts, fill out the data, download to csv, then allow me to import into Quickbooks. Now that would have me sold.

Thanks,
Jason

qboe on iphone

What you REALLY need to do with the iphone is allow us to enter single activity timesheets. I'm a lawyer, and I bill for my time. Other applications out there allow for time tracking using the iphone and that is a super feature. Adding that to QB online would take my productivity forward by leaps and bounds. I could take or make a call while on the go, hang up, and bill the time right on the spot. No having to make a note, and remember to enter it later. It should be very easy to implement.

Thanks for listening.

qboe on iphone

Hello,

When or maybe if, will inventory management be added to the online edition?

This is the only thing right now stopping me from switching.

Thanks,
Martin.

qboe on iphone

I like the direction you are heading with this. If I could offer up just a few ideas that would help my business which maybe some others may need aswell.

1. Ability to create invoices via an iphone app that is laid out the same as quickbooks "create invoice" on the desktop.

2. The ability to lock out technicians in the field from accessing different aspects of quickbooks. ie... profit/loss, customer balance etc... This could be done easily enough by password protecting the setup on iphone initially. One PW would be for set up and another PW would be for that tech to access the app which would be automatically stored on iphone as to not input the PW every time just to create invoices etc..

3. Do not forget that iphone is bluetooth capable. There are many nice bluetooth printers on the market now and the ability to print a hard copy in the field for the customer and then hit a "send to office" button to sync that invoice instantly with your QBO account. ( I think this is a needed feature as many companies especially in the automotive industry do not want an emailed invoice. They need a hardcopy immediatly to generate a P.O. and then in turn it is sent up to the accounting office.) This could be a feature that could be turned on/off during setup for those that do not need to print via bluetooth. I know many insurance adjusters print immediatly.

Sorry so long, but I believe you're on the right track. Don't stop short like so many others who try to create mobile quickbooks applications. Thanks again and best regards.

qboe on iphone

Hi,

Can i give my Inputs and ideas to enhance the quick books software for Staffing domain customers.

If its included in QB it will be very useful to work more efficiently .

If you are OK with that kindly confirm . I will send my ideas to you.

If you are not interested kindly ignore this .

FYI: I am in India.

I like Quickbooks mobile, I wish it would let you enter sales rep.,unit #,
po#, enter what kind of labor, What kind of part. And be able to let sales
reps do invoiceing with more restrictions on what they can view View or Change. This would be awsome! Save on Double Entry! Any Chance this
will happen? Thanks, Bill

qboe on iphone

I have been using QB for Mac for over 10 years. Now I have an iPhone and use that every day. I'm not really worried about invoicing from my iPhone, since I do that on a monthly or bi-monthly basis in batches and/or when projects are completed. What I would LOVE to see is an app for my iPhone that I can use to do time entry, record expenses, record mileage, etc. and then transfer that data to QB for Mac when I am at my desk. Currently, I have to enter time whenever I have time and inclination, which is not nearly as often as I should (resulting in lots of lost hours and inaccurate records).

qboe on iphone

How about a simple way to enter time for a phone call on iphone? Timesheet in iphone should sync with Quickbooks just like calendar & contacts do with Outlook.

qboe on iphone

I will be sold when I can enter time sheets. The invoices are huge. Once you get time sheets to work though, every service person in the country will be interested.

qboe on iphone

As a salesman... the ability to write estimates and sales orders in the field would be great!

qboe on iphone

I've been a long time user of Quickbooks online and have been very pleased with all the enhancements and updates over the years. And now a mobile app!! It's great! Would love to be able to enter time via the mobile application. I know all my contractors who are at various client sites would use it.

qboe on iphone

Great info and THANKS for the solutions offered! I was about to make the leap to QB 2009 for the Mac and learned that the Mac version is no match for the power of the PC version. I have QB 2008 with 3 users and trust that it will work with your prgm....fantastic! I'll stay tuned to monitor your further innovations and comments from others. This site has been most helpful to my business development.

qboe on iphone

I love the user interface options. I would like to see more of the billing manager available on this app. Like viewing past invoices or invoice drafts(estimates). Or is there a way to bring up my Quickbooks Online data in the billing manager app?

Thanks for the wonderful work this far.

Jeff

qboe on iphone

I have a Quickbooks Merchant Account, but still cannot figure out how to process credit card payments from my iTouch. Anybody know how to do that?

qboe on iphone

Does QB online integrate with Enterprise 9.0? I am looking for a mobile app for iPhones that allows remote creation of estimates, invoices and allows mobile payment with instant sync with Enterprise 9.0.

qboe on iphone

Are there efforts (or maybe there is a way already) being made to be able to synch with a hard copy of quickbooks? I already have quickbooks, just not online and I would love to be able to use my iphone to create etc my invoices on the go.

qboe on iphone

I'm with you Laurent. I would love to be able to sync with my QB Pro. I don't want to pay a monthly fee for an online application. Give me a way to do time tracking and invoicing on the go then come back and sync to the data in my QB Pro.

qboe on iphone

I would love to be able to enter charges from the iPhone. The ability to log the clients time while I am in the field would be a great addition and make this a very useful tool for me. Any ideas of when and if this will be possible?

qboe on iphone

Is there a extra fee to have quickbooks on your Iphone?

qboe on iphone

Currently, there us no additional fee to use QuickBooks Online for the iPhone, as long as you have an active subscription and user account with QuickBooks Online.

qboe on iphone

I recommend people to check out news articles in regards to Intuit being at MacWorld 2009. We showed off some pretty interesting things for QuickBooks Online that everyone will love. Also, check out the QuickBooks Online Website, anything new for both QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Online for the iPhone will also be posted there.

qboe on iphone

Here are some of the articles in regards to what we were showing at MacWorld 2009.

MacWorld.com

The Apple Blog

qboe on iphone

It would be VERY usefull if you created an iPhone APP for time entry into QB's online. That is probably the most frequent reason I need to get into my QB's online and it would save a lot of time if I could do it from my iPhone.

qboe on iphone

Is QBOE available for the Canadian companies? All links go to US, and the US site gives an error if I ignore the state and zip code entries for the demo.

Parallels is such a hassle compared to native mac. When will a Canadian Mac version be available???

qboe on iphone

Viewing QB Online is not enough, we need to be able to make entries - particularly to TIME SHEETS!

qboe on iphone

Great idea; however, unable to access the website from iphone. The web address gave message that said it is temporarily down. Please let me know when it is back up, so I can try to access again. Thank you for constantly making upgrades. Love Quickbooks..it is a must have for small business owners.

qboe on iphone

The website should be back up within the day or so that you logged in. Definitely try it out!

qboe on iphone

Love it. How about entering timesheet data for users via the iphone app?

qboe on iphone

Ya, that too. :) Maybe they can make a couple of apps so you only are running sections at a time to conserve memory.

AR App
AP App
Ledger App
Timesheet App
etc.

Just a thought

qboe on iphone

I agree with the comments. I would love to see (in no particular order):
1) The ability to enter timesheets
2) Create Invoices
3) Enter Charges
4) Email invoices to clients
5) A Macintosh version
6) May a version that uses Adobe Flex so the application is cross browser compatible.

qboe on iphone

We really need to have a time tracking feature on here to at least allow logging new time entries.

qboe on iphone

I was very excited to see quicken online for iPhone, however am disappointed that I can't add anyhting into the account, I'm in the process of setting up a new business and this is pretty important to me. Even if I had the ability to import Billing Manager items into Quickbooks online I'd be more than happy to only have to enter it once.

qboe on iphone

when are you going to have qb online for macs???
(dammitt!!!)

qboe on iphone

I know.... I know.... I roll with a Mac as well and am patiently waiting. What I can tell you is that it is very difficult to port all the work that was done for QBOE to Safari or Firefox.

qboe on iphone

I'm sorry, but I don't have a lot of sympathy for i-knew-it after buying more than one "mirror image" version of QB4mac, now, where's the online version????

qboe on iphone

FYI People, this app also works on the G1 android phone via the browser. Great tool, but I echo everyone else's needs. Invoices invoices invoices. Thanks for creating this tool Intuit!!!!!

qboe on iphone

Thanks so much for checking this out on android. We are going to start testing all of our mobile apps on the android OS. And YES, we are working on the invoicing piece smile

qboe on iphone

Yes, being able to write invoices on the fly with my iPhone would be the most important thing for me. And to be able to email the invoice right there on the spot would be awsome.

qboe on iphone

I would like to say if you support the iphone then why don't you support the mac OS I have to run Windows XP pro on my mac only to run QuickBooks Pro for payroll
Please support the mac with Tax tables and a fully working version.

qboe on iphone

I second Evan's opinion: creating invoices is #1 priority request. #2 is ability to receive payments. Both of these are thing that are done on-site with the customer in real-time. For mobile consultants, trainers, service men, etc this would fundamentally impact day-to-day operations.

qboe on iphone

I am writing to add my agreement to some previous comments that _creating_ invoices from the iPhone should be priority number one. Just look at the dozens of time tracking tools that are on the iTunes App Store even as I write this. None of those works with QuickBooks, so none are useful to me.

Everyone's business is different, so speaking only for myself I have no use for reviewing P&L;, AR, AP, etc. while on the go. I am "on the go" because I am going places to bill people for services and thus need to track time/invoice them...and so back to creating invoices being the top priority.

Two other comments:
1. QB for iPhone should be an application with the capability to store data on the device, not a mobile web site. Like many people, I use an iPod Touch not an iPhone. I can't count on always having live internet access (same goes for cellular data plans with iPhone, just less so than with Wifi only).

2. I would like to see an application that works with either OE or standard Quickbooks (Basic, Pro, maybe Enterprise).

I currently use a program that creates invoices on Windows Mobile and transfers them into QuickBooks--I paid $150 for that software and it was worth every penny. I'd love something to allow me to dump the Windows Mobile device, but no one has made such a thing for iPhone--yet! I suspect there a lots of people like me who don't even expect such a thing for free, we just wish someone would make it so we could give them money. Could be an opportunity for Intuit.

qboe on iphone

Hi Lou: Currently QuickBooks Online for the iPhone and for the BlackBerry only allow you to view information from your existing QuickBooks Online company. We're very interested in providing the ability to create invoices, time activities, and other features. Your feedback will be important in helping us decide which features to provide and in what order. Watch Intuit Labs for enhancements.

qboe on iphone

Any way to create invoices and PO's from this app ??

qboe on iphone

Nice idea, now follow through with it and get an actual quickbooks app that links enterprise or mac 09

qboe on iphone

I pulled up the mobile version the first couple of times I tryed. I loved it but have not been able to pull it up since then. It denies my login.....my login works on my laptop

qboe on iphone

if you made an iphone app, why not make it compatible with a Mac???

qboe on iphone

Hey there! I'm a Product Manager on the QuickBooks Online team currently investigating adding new features to our QuickBooks Online Mobile offering. Thank you all for your wonderful suggestions. They've been really helpful!

I would like to continue learning more from all of you. If you're interested in helping us improve our QBO Mobile offering please contact me at aditya_k_singh@intuit.com. Look forward to hearing from you soon! Thanks!

qboe on iphone

Great app, thanks to the web guys for coding up support for mini safari.

However, I have one request: Create an iPhone app (not a web app) that interfaces directly with the QBOE site. For example, I have a professional services company and I would like to be able to input my time from the road. It would be amazing if I could load up a QBOE app and input directly into the system.

Please please please make this happen. :)

qboe on iphone

"PC World - Feb.5, 2008 :

A wave of bugs in the plug-in technology used by Microsoft's Internet Explorer (IE) browser has some security experts, including those at US-CERT, recommending that users disable all ActiveX controls.

The U. S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT), part of the federal government's Department of Homeland Security, put it bluntly in advisories posted in the last two days: "US-CERT encourages users to disable ActiveX controls as described in the Securing Your Web Browser document," the organization recommended."

qboe on iphone

I am a Quicken user for many years. A Mac user for even longer.
Please make Quicken for the iPhone.

qboe on iphone

This is great... but what I could really (REALLY) use is a iphone app that interfaces with my desktop Quicken (like Pocket Quicken did on Newton).

I use Quicken (MAC) for all my banking and credit card history... would love to have Pocket Quicken (or similar) for tracking cash transactions... and have it sync with the desktop (I know, I know, you couldn't use activeX... boo hoo :-P

Dave

qboe on iphone

since this post is about the iPhone it would be smart if you could sign up using one ..... but that doesn't seem to work ... I suggest you get your web team on that!

qboe on iphone

Great! Thanks.

When can we see iPhone version of Quicken?

qboe on iphone

Daniel, please give it a try! If it works you'll probably see a user interface similar to our BlackBerry interface. Have a look here: http://intuitlabs.com/apps/qboe-on-blackberry

If you can get to the QBO login page on your smartphone, please click the Send Feedback link on that page and let us know the details of the device you're using and your impressions.

qboe on iphone

Wonderful. good to see this

qboe on iphone

Can this run on a Windows Mobile Smartphone? which is a much more common platform among business users.

qboe on iphone

Hello Mac users - we hear you! Here is a statement that was made on our QuickBooks community message boards about a month ago from our QuickBooks Online Product Development leader:

"We are actively working on making our product compatible with other browsers (including Safari). We have a large product that currently uses ActiveX and was initially tuned to work with Internet Explorer. Therefore, it will require a large amount of work and will take some time on our part to accomplish. As you can see from the iPhone application, we have passion for Mac within our team!

Additionally, we too would like to use Firefox. We are in this with you; we just need some time to make it all happen.

Thanks for your continued loyalty and passion for QuickBooks Online and for sharing your thoughts and advice with each other in our community.

Warmest Regards,
Thai Bui - QuickBooks Online Product Development Leader"

qboe on iphone

How about just having a web interface that works with any browser? That way it won't matter what OS you're using: Windows, Mac, Linux, Symbian, Android, etc.

qboe on iphone

It would be NICE if Quickbooks Online worked with a Mac. As it is now, QB Online is worthless to me. When will Intuit support the Mac as it does Windows? Time for me to move on. See ya!

qboe on iphone

I agree with JP. Nice interface, but useless until I can enter employee timesheets or billable time. Or be able to enter expenses.
That's kind of expensive for a $120/year viewer.
And please support the Mac.

qboe on iphone

Don't come down on me too hard here, but our company has been using quickbooks pro for over 15 years but only on our network. How do I go about getting online access to the information. As president of the company, this would be a great asset for me.

qboe on iphone

Seriously, when can we just do it on the Mac? Once this topic comes up notice how mac support stops posting.

qboe on iphone

It is pretty, but useless. You can't enter billable time or do any other meaningful work as far as I can tell.

-JP

qboe on iphone

As a small professional services firm (10 people) that is Mac based we have had to invest hundreds of unnecessary dollars to maintain our accounting system on Windows emulation in order to have our accountant easily review our accounts. This of course started with loss of QB on mac and then it was impossible to get back to the mac with truly interchangable files across platforms. Add the horrible payroll modules and cross platform compatibility, cost and convenience have been sacrificed. Add the MacOnline and iphone dimension and I can only say the Intuit appears o be doing everything it can to create confusion, distrust and desire for us to look elsewhere.

qboe on iphone

I Second T. Hall's Comment. In fact, I think I know a lot of people that would.

qboe on iphone

Great idea, but QuickBooks online doesn't even work on a Mac? Shouldn't that be a first priority?

qboe on iphone

Would nice to be able to enter time on iphone (i.e. Weekly Timesheet). Now I enter time into a seperate application and manually transfer it to Quickbooks.

qboe on iphone

When will the day come that QBOE will be available for Mac users. I currently have two years worth of data in QBOE and hate, repeat hate having to use Windows to access this information. SMBs need mobility and flexibility and QBOE is the great, would be the best if I could access on the road using my MAC.

qboe on iphone

Would love to be able to enter data such as credit card reciepts for purchases. For instance for my small business when I pay for gas at the gas station, to be able to enter that charge and not have to carry around the receipt for days until I get home to enter it.

qboe on iphone

Cool idea but what about all of us mac users? When will an finally release qbobline for another browser besides ie? It's just crazy that a company as big as intuit has yet to support safari or firefox on a mac. There is no reason for a web based program not to be cross platform. Com on guys. Mac users also need online accounting

I also wish I could add expenses on the fly with photo of receipt. I currently have to enter into iExpense it then go back to the full online version and record everything again. such a waste. I pretty much run my entire business from my phone so any and all features would be a great help.

Capturing expenses on the go via the iPhone or Blackberry camera is exactly what I'm looking for.

Love the demo...I agree with all of the suggested upgrades... and I'll echo Rick above and ask when will I be able to use Quickbooks Online on my Mac? Great work otherwise...

I played around with the demo company and this app looks like a great start. However, I am a mac user. When will I be able to use QuickBooks Online on my mac?

Can we enter our expenses payments from our iphone? Invoices are not most of my problems but paying on line and entering expenses on the go are very important and keep accounting current. What say you?
Thanks,
Peter

Mac user, QB Online is just that, it's an internet based program. They store all of your data and you can use it anywhere in the world. The last I heard Safari works fine. I manage accountants in Ethiopia and South America and QB online edition works very well. However, as of yet there are no purchase orders and true job costing. For the annual price of the product there is no excuse for this. As with all quickbooks, there is no good cash projection reports provided.

Using my iTouch to access QBOE is great... just wish we could see a payroll dashboard as well with the things to do alerts (pay employee dates, payroll tax dates, and upcoming payroll forms due dates.

Aaron, with Intuit Billing Manager (http://www.intuitlabs.com/apps/billing-manager) you can actually invoice your clients, and if you sign up for the optional QuickBooks Merchant Service, accept credit card payments right into the app, or from your iPhone at your client's site.

Hope this helps,

Aaron and HJ, we appreciate your feedback. We totally agree with you! Based on feedback like yours, we know that being able to enter data is going to be important in the mobile space. Please watch this site for enhancements that we make, and please send more ideas as you think of them.

I agree with Aaron. Pleeeaaasssee!?!? Entering an invoice from anywhere would be terrific. Then, to be able to FAX it right to the customer I'm standing in front of would be too cool.

This would be perfect if I could just collect money and enter payments/deposits on-site right into the app! Any chance you can add this feature? Pleeeaaaasssee? =)

Thanks very much for your feedback, Brian. We completely agree with you, and that's the direction we'd like to move toward. At the moment we have no timetable for providing that capability. However, if and when we do, you'll probably see it here first. So check back every so often!

The iPhone UI for QBOE looks great! Are there plans to allow users to update information from the iPhone UI?

Having access to contact information is nice, but adding new customers or updating contact information on the road would be awesome!
