A First for Intuit: New Linux Resource Business Center

September 4th, 2008 – by asingh

We are excited to announce that Intuit has just launched a new online Linux Resource Center devoted to helping businesses learn about the benefits of using Linux to run their business!

You can share articles, ideas and troubleshooting tips. If you are new to Linux, no need to feel intimidated – it’s a newbie-friendly place for for business users interested in Linux to learn and get answers for many questions people have when moving to an open source system.

TheLinux411.com  is Intuit’s first step, reaching out to and understanding the open-source Linux community.  So to kick off the new site, we’re launching a contest to reward the most innovative open-source business solutions. The winner will receive $2,000, a spotlight on the site and a 1-on-1 consultation with the Director of Product Development at QuickBooks Enterprise.

Whether you are just thinking about switching to Linux, or have had great success migrating to open source, there’ll be something for you in the discussion forums. You can contribute to as well as learn from the resources we have, even vote on entries to the contest. If you are Linux business user – or think you might want to be – check it out.
