ThumbStrips is a FireFox add on that creates a thumbnail filmstrip of your web history.

To make it easier to navigate through the web pages you visited we developed ThumbStrips. You can sort, share and save your thumbstrips and even add comments to them. Stop using the back button and start using ThumbStrips! All you need is Windows, Mac, or Linux machine running FireFox version 2 or 3.

We love feedback!

Have an idea for ThumbStrips? Questions about using it? We want to hear from you! Please leave a comment below or send us an email.

Thanks for the suggestion Derek.  You can shrink the bar by dragging it smaller, but then you can’t see the thumbstrip as well, so your suggestion is a good compromise.

This is pretty cool - I like it.  One suggestion - it would be even better if the thumbstrip could appear when you mouse over the status bar, and minimize when the mouse leaves the thumbstrip area.  It does take a bit of real estate in the browser.

I think thumbstrips is great!  We were recently looking for a new home and surfing all over the internet, having pictures of the pages we visited made it so much easier for us to find our way back to the homes we wanted to follow up on. Check it out, it didn’t slow down my surfing at at.

Hi Renzo,

The early versions of ThumbStrips was reported to slow down your web browsing a bit.  With the past releases we’ve re-written the code base to speed up the performance of the add-on and web browsing should feel normal.  However, sites that use heavy AJAX, Gmail for example, could load slowly.
