ECM is an add-in for Microsoft Outlook that retrieves lists of your contacts from QuickBooks so you can send them an email. It will save hours of manual data transfer!
First, click the download button above and run the installation program. After you install it, restart Outlook, and you'll see two new buttons on the Outlook toolbar labeled Email QuickBooks Contacts and Manage Block List. Now you can:
If it turns out ECM does not meet your needs, you uninstall it by going to the Control Panel, selecting Add/Remove Programs, and clicking Change/Remove next to Email Contact Manager.
If something comes up that you need help with, just post a comment here.
We know that there is much more functionality we can add to this product, and we need your help to determine what to do next! If you often find yourself writing emails to your customers, give ECM a try and let us know where you would like to take it. If you have ideas or suggestions, we are all ears ![]()

What’s the difference between this and Quickbooks Contact Sync for Outlook?

Downloaded the program but when I try to create an email it says there is an error 8007007e. This appears after it brings up the names and I click finish. Any thoughts?

thanks for trying it out Angelita! It might help to know what version of QuickBooks you are using. Also, what version of windows are you using? thanks!

QuickBooks 2009 Pro, Windows XP with SP2
Recently upgraded to 2009 pro. Tried to create and send an email blast today to my customer list using ECM. I get an error message about “granting access.” Went to preferences and access is checked. I was able to do a list of vendors but I get the error message when I try to do customers. Help! Thanks in advance. John

Hi John,
Thanks for giving ECM a try! It sounds like you are doing everything right. Do you know how big your customer list is? How large in comparison to your vendor list? Do you get the error right away, or does the app do some processing before hand?
Sorry that it didn’t work for your right away.

Before I try this I would first like to know if there is an webmail access to my email and where do I find out how to set up Outlook for email with my Intuit website? I can’t find anything in my account manager in reference to it. I have two email addresses I have yet to check.

So…I downloaded, installed and tried to run and I am getting the error that says allow ECM access in QB. In preferences the Unnamed application is checked so it should have access. any thoughts?
